Confidence and Control: Get to Market Faster with Multi-Tenancy

Written by Emily May | Jul 9, 2025 2:00:00 PM

In the world of payments and financial services, speed to market is paramount. When you're launching a new card product, a digital wallet, embedded finance experiences, the ability to move fast—and securely—can mean the difference between leading the competition or trailing behind.

The traditional approach to introducing a new payment product has been slow, costly, and complex. At Episode Six, we’re switching up the script with our multi-tenant platform and standardized deployment model. This empowers our clients with a proven path to launch faster, reduce costs, and stay secure—without sacrificing flexibility or control.

The traditional model vs. the Episode Six way

In a traditional setup, financial institutions or fintechs might contract with a provider to build a dedicated environment just for them—sometimes even standing up an entire data center or bespoke infrastructure. Building new infrastructure from scratch is time-consuming and carries inherent delays. New secure networks connections to card schemes such as Visa and Mastercard need to be established, and PCI DSS certification needs to be navigated from the ground up. Compliance and regulatory signoffs also need to be completed.

With Episode Six’s multi-tenant platform, those barriers are dramatically reduced. The environment already exists and is fully PCI DSS certified. We also already maintain live, certified connections to the major card schemes. Our platform is built to be configured, not rebuilt, for each client.

This all means that clients can skip the heavy infrastructure lift and instead focus on product configuration and integration. In many cases, the multi-tenant model allows for getting new card BINs or products live as fast as it takes to configure them in our system and run a quick test.

Ultimately, what traditionally took up to 90 days just to provision network connections to card schemes now becomes a lightweight certification process on our existing rails—removing months of lead time.

Even faster for non-card use cases

For clients using Episode Six as an API-based ledger or account management engine, the process is even simpler. There is no card scheme involvement required, and no external certifications of third-party connections. Using our dynamic provisioning APIs, Episode Six can rapidly configure a new product environment that is ready for testing. This allows clients to focus on their API integration work while our infrastructure is ready and waiting.

Cost efficiency through shared infrastructure

By leveraging our multi-tenant model, clients also benefit from lower total cost of ownership—since infrastructure, certifications, and connections are shared and maintained by us. There’s no capital investment in bespoke environments or redundant integrations, and embracing cloud elasticity allows for efficient scaling without infrastructure worries. This lets clients invest more in product innovation, marketing, and customer acquisition, rather than back-end infrastructure.

What about data privacy?

While our infrastructure is shared, our clients' data is not. Strict tenant-based data isolation is enforced at the application and database level. All data access is controlled and audited through our platform. Automated test suites verify data isolation rules to prevent any cross-tenant visibility.

Our clients never see each other's data—guaranteed by our platform's architecture and processes.

Always secure and up to date

Another advantage of our model is continuous improvement without client disruption. All clients benefit from platform-wide updates, enhancements, and security patches—simultaneously and seamlessly. Our platform is evergreen: clients aren't buying a static solution; they're buying into the future of our continuously evolving platform. Regular security testing, audits, and proactive monitoring keep the environment secure and resilient. Clients can rest easy knowing they are always on the latest and most secure version of our platform, without needing to manage upgrades or patches themselves.

Stay secure while innovating continuously

At Episode Six, multi-tenancy is more than an architectural choice—it’s a strategic advantage for our clients. You’ll get:

  • Faster time to market
  • Lower costs
  • Best-in-class security and compliance
  • Built-in scalability and flexibility

Whether you're launching a new card product or embedding payments into your digital experiences, our multi-tenant platform helps you get there faster, smarter, and safer.
