Episode Six to Establish AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore
Cloud-native payments technology provider to build an agentic AI capability hub anchored on its proprietary TRITIUM platform, deepening Singapore’s position as a regional centre for financial infrastructure innovation
SINGAPORE — July 16th, 2026 — Episode Six, a global provider of cloud-native payments and ledger technology, today announced they have established an Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) in Singapore. The initiative is supported through the AWS AI Springboard under the Enterprise Compute Initiative, a programme administered by Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), the joint office of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority.
The AI CoE will serve as a dedicated capability hub focused on applying agentic AI to the infrastructure that moves money across the region.
The CoE’s work will span five priority areas:
- Internal operational efficiency — applying AI across Episode Six’s own operations to raise quality and productivity.
- Client operational efficiency — helping the banks and fintechs on the Episode Six platform run leaner, faster operations.
- Agentic and augmented payment products — enabling clients to build agent-driven and AI-augmented products on their infrastructure.
- Client growth — using AI to accelerate onboarding, integration and time-to-revenue for Episode Six’s clients.
- AI-ready infrastructure — making their documentation and tools natively accessible to AI agents, anchored by a production-grade MCP server.
The establishment of the CoE reflects Episode Six’s long-term commitment to building and retaining advanced technology capability in Singapore, where the company bases its Asia Pacific operations. The initiative aligns with Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0 and Budget 2026 priorities, which encourage enterprises to deepen homegrown AI capabilities, accelerate adoption, and develop an AI-ready talent pool.
The CoE’s focus is timely. The major payment networks are moving quickly to support agentic commerce, with Mastercard establishing a regional AI centre of excellence in Singapore and advancing agent-based payment capabilities, and Visa developing comparable initiatives. E6’s work complements this direction by giving the banks and fintechs that build on its platform the means to participate safely as software agents begin to initiate and settle transactions.
Episode Six joins a growing community of organisations building AI capability in Singapore, including financial-infrastructure names such as Mastercard and UBS, alongside OpenAI and Sea Group, reflecting the country’s standing as a global hub for applied AI.
Daryn Griggs, Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Japan, Episode Six, said, "Singapore has become the natural home for serious work at the intersection of AI and financial infrastructure, and we are grateful for the support that makes this Centre of Excellence possible. Our aim is a practical one. We want the institutions that build on our platform to move faster, integrate more easily, and be ready for a world in which software agents, not just people, initiate and settle transactions. Building that capability here, with local talent, is the right way to do it.”
The AI CoE began work in July 2026 with the first product expected to be delivered in Q4 2026.
